Thread to sew around states
This project as shown in the picture is finished around a canvas. You can also finish it as a regular quilt. If you choose to do the canvas you will also need: one 36X24" canvas, 1 yard of 80/20 quilt batting, 3 1/2 yards of rick rack and spray adhesive. If you finish it as a quilt/wall hanging you can quilt it as desired. You will need 1/2 yard of fabric for the binding.
I would be best to trace the states onto your Steam a Seam and cut them out before the class. Please call Carolyn at 435-406-1800 to get your pattern before the class. Thanks!

Barn Quilt- These fun barn quilts are for indoor use. Supplies are provided (wood, paint, paintbrushes, tape)

Improv Quilt Blocks-Log Cabin
Bring lots of cotton fabric scraps in a variety of colors and prints (this is a good time to use some of your stash)
Sylvia will teach how to make 13 1/2 inch square blocks using this method.
You will need 12-20 pieces of scraps for each block.
The scraps can range in width from 3/4 inches thick.
A quilt made of 30 blocks in a 5 block by 6 block configuration will give you a quilt that is 65 inches by 78 inches.
A table runner or small wall hanging could be made with 4-6 or more blocks.
